Everything bad always seems to hit at once. Have you ever noticed that? You’ll get laid off and then two days later your car will break down. Or you’ll get sick the day that there is a fire at work and everyone gets out early with pay for the entire day.
I went to New York and had a marvelous time away from home. I absolutely hate my mother, and a break away from her constant bitching was just what I needed. But of course, 3 days is not NEAR long enough, and I had to come home to be stuck in a van for 12 hours to spend an entire week away from home in Florida with her and the family. She seriously feels the need to complain about everything, and it ruined everyone else’s time.
“It’s too hot. God, why is it so hot?” That would be because you are in FLORIDA. It’s closer to the equator. Therefore; it’s going to be hotter than it is in North Carolina.
“God, these lines for the rides are TOO LONG. I’m just going to sit down because these lines aren’t worth it. Let’s just go.” Um… it’s called a theme park. People enjoy them. And if you weren’t such a selfish person you would probably enjoy them too.
You get the picture. If she didn’t want to do something, she expected no one else to go do it either, and then if someone DID go to do it, she would make a big deal out of it and just go “FINE. I guess we have to cater to –insert name here-‘s needs and we’ll ALL just go suffer.” She is literally insane, drove my grandma crazy, and will NEVER go on a trip with me again.
But, while I was down there the hard drive in my computer stopped working for no apparent reason. I went to the pool and before I left it was working fine. I get back, it’s still working fine. I go to take a shower and when I get out and open the laptop up, it’s trying to re-boot over and over again. I took the hard drive out and put it back in - to no avail. So Evan called HP and they sent me a new hard drive, which doesn’t help the fact that all of the information that was in my old hard drive is gone. But whatever. I’ve already received the hard drive in the mail, but no I have to wait to get the start up disks too before my computer will be operable again. So for now I’m borrowing Evan’s laptop to do homework on and update my journal. So not only does that happen to me, but Ed had my digital camera with him when we were down there in Florida and when we get back I ask him for my camera back and he SWEARS he gave it back to me, when he didn’t. So now I don’t have a camera either. Woot.
Evan took me out to dinner last night and a movie. We went with his cousin Beth and her husband Gabe, and it was pretty much amazing. "The Ruins" was spectacular. It actually made me gag and shudder. Amazing. I love this boy. He went through a ton of shit last night for me. We spent over two hours talking about Daylon. My problems with him. My wasted tears and my love and fear and hatred. He's not only a lover but a friend. My best friend. I am so thankful.
The cast of Twilight was released a while ago. They have Lindsey Lohan AND John Stamos in the film. That kills me. If they fuck this up for me, I will die.
I could report more, or I could curl up in the floor on Evan's chest and watch "The Mist."
I vote for that.
